Announcement: Dexter Merschbrock and Michelle Kuhn are expecting a baby!!!
We are very excited. I posted a wish list on this website, so if you happen to have any of these things that you won't use anymore we would sure appreciate it!

We're almost into week 18. We won't know the gender of the baby or have our first ultrasound until next month, June 15. It is so hard to wait!!! I was very close to buying an intelligender test at walgreen's for fun, but decided to save the money for something better. ;) It does look pretty interesting though. Supposed to tell you the gender of your baby with a 90% rate of accuracy. Anyone try it?

Both of our families are very happy for us. I called my brother yesterday with my mom and said "I have some big news for you!" He said, "What, you're pregnant?" I said yes, and he asked who the mother was! Ha, ha. I told my sister today (she was in town with John and my niece, Julia)... mom and dad got me a crib and diaper bag and I was like "Look what mom and dad got me... a cute diaper bag!" She was like "Ohh how cute.... um, wait, what?" Quite funny. : )

My tummy is really not that big yet, but all of my jeans fit "just right", so it's getting hard to sit down without unbuttoning my pants! I've started to use a belly band, and I must say, it is the best invention EVER. So comfortable. I'm happy I can still wear my clothes...

According to babycenter.com, this week: "Head to rump, your baby is about 5 1/2 inches long (about the length of a bell pepper) and he weighs almost 7 ounces. He's busy flexing his arms and legs — movements that you'll start noticing more and more in the weeks ahead. His blood vessels are visible through his thin skin, and his ears are now in their final position, although they're still standing out from his head a bit. A protective covering of myelin is beginning to form around his nerves, a process that will continue for a year after he's born. If you're having a girl, her uterus and fallopian tubes are formed and in place. If you're having a boy, his genitals are noticeable now, but he may hide them from you during an ultrasound."

I'm very scatter-brained right now, so I apologize if this post is hard to follow! I want to update every week, so check back when you can!

We love you all!

xoxo M&D
