09.10.09

We're getting closer! August has moved down a lot, and is now pressing on my pelvis (much to his delight; much to my despair). The kicks to my ribs have not yet stopped. I have a feeling they won't until this little baby comes out. :)

Dexter was able to come to the appointment this morning. I weigh 132 and my blood pressure is 114/82. So far, so good. We did a routine Group B Strep test today to check for bacteria that can be passed along to the baby during delivery. If I test positive, they'll have to put me on antibiotics during labor and delivery to prevent little August from contracting the bacteria. No biggie.

His heart beat sounds so normal now. It's measuring at 130 beats per minute. It'll be around the same when he's born (between 120 and 160).

At this point we'll be seeing Dr. Well's every week. There's really no way to tell when August will be coming, sooo.... we just have to wait! And oh it is so hard. Dexter's cousin, Shanna, is in town this week and so we had dinner with her, Kassy, Michael & Kaily last night. It was really nice! Dexter made vegetarian lasagna and we had chocolate satin pie for dessert... yummmm.

We will be babysitting Kaily today while Kassy is at work. I am SO excited! Dexter will be learning how to change a diaper today, so wish him luck! :)

  1. We (Auggie's great aunts) are getting so excited for you and Dexter. Sounds like everything is as it should be right now. Know that we are thinking about you and trying to figure out how we can get to see the two of you and Auggie, too!
