Baby brain is great, isn't it?
We had an appointment this morning at 8:45AM. I have the day off and so does Dexter (besides babysitting Kaily this afternoon). Everything was perfect. Um, except... I forgot I had taken my car to the dealership to have it serviced yesterday for an unfortunate gas leak. So how did we get to the appointment? Grandma Karen of course!
Off we went to see Dr. Wells; Me, August, Dexter, and Grandma Karen. It was a rather standard appointment. I was hoping they would check to see if I've dilated any, tell me I had and that I would be delivering within the next 2 weeks. That didn't happen of course. I weigh 134 now and my blood pressure was 118/76 ( I had to ask Dexter this time because I can't seem to remember anything these days). August has definitely dropped, which we knew before, and he is measuring fine. We need to pick a pediatrician for him soon and figure out which shots/immunizations we think he should have.
After the visit my mom dropped us off at the dealership and we picked up my shiny black Ion. Fortunately, it is still under warranty and they replaced the fuel module for free. With this bit of good news, I drove home feeling optimistic and motivated. Enough to clean out the entire car with a vacuum hose in the middle of the day, complete with a thorough disinfecting of every surface known to me. Then I thought: Why not install the car seat today? I won't be this energized for much longer.
..... 2 glasses of water, 1 slice of pizza, 3 Google searches, and 2 hours later our car seat has been installed! (Though I know our neighbors do not read this blog, I apologize for flashing them numerous times as I tried to maneuver the car seat and my big belly while keeping my pants from falling down completely).
Thanks for hanging in here with us. Only 25 more days!
